Guests can “Talk Turkey” at Charlotte Nature Museum

Saturday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m. — 1 p.m.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Guests can learn all about the bird of the season at Charlotte Nature Museum during this month’s Turkey Talk Creature Feature on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 10 a.m. — 1 p.m.

Visitors will be delighted as they learn how to “talk turkey” and try their hand using a turkey caller. Guests also can get up close to Christmas, a live wild turkey, provided by Steve Hughes Wildlife Lectures. Children also can enjoy going wild for turkey crafts creating turkeys out of pine cones.

Puppet shows and storytelling also run throughout the day. Snacks will be provided by Earth Fare (while supplies last).

Creature Features, supported by The Guild of Discovery Place and Charlotte Nature Museum, are monthly special events and include crafts, puppet shows, storytelling and refreshments. Creature Features activities are free with Museum admission. Museum admission: $6 for ages two and older, free for those younger-than-two and Members. Parking is free.

Charlotte Nature Museum is located at 1658 Sterling Road. Hours are: Tuesday- Thursday 9 a.m. — 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. — 5 p.m.; Sunday noon — 5 p.m.; and closed on Monday.

activities provide the opportunity for structured learning and informal play for
