Charlotte Nature Museum Announces New Admission
May 26, 2009Effective Tuesday, May 26, admission prices to Charlotte Nature Museum will increase to $6.00 for general admission. “The operating costs of the Museum have increased which impacts our ability to continue to provide high-level care for our animals,” said Lisa Hoffman, director of the Museum. “Ultimately, our goal is to maintain the quality of our visitor experience and animal care.”
Museum admission (effective Tuesday, May 26, 2009)
- Ages 2 and older: $6.00
- Younger than 2: Free
- Members: Free
Charlotte Nature Museum offers visitors the chance to get close to wildlife and walk among free-flying butterflies in Butterfly Pavilion, observe live animals in Creature Cavern, buzz by Insect Alley or just hang out in Our Big Backyard. Guests can learn together during workshops, summer camps and more. Daily programming including hands-on activities provide the opportunity for structured learning and informal play for kids of all ages and monthly Creature Feature events provide an up-close opportunity to go nose-to-nose with some cool critters. Charlotte Nature Museum is operated by Discovery Place, Inc.
Charlotte Nature Museum is located at 1658 Sterling Road. Hours are: Tuesday — Thursday 9 a.m. — 5 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. — 5 p.m.; Sunday noon — 5 p.m.; and closed on Monday.
