Recently, a 63-year-old woman visited the featured exhibition Circus! to test her skills on the high wire. After walking the high wire twice, she announced it was something she had wanted to do since she was 5 years old, and that she could finally check it off of her “bucket list.” “Life’s too short to be afraid,” she said.
Another visitor commented on his visit to A Day in Pompeii, “I think all of the exhibits that Discovery Place hosts are beautiful, well set up, imaginative and informative. This one definitely didn’t disappoint. The main reason I wanted to see it was because I’ve been to Pompeii and the exhibit was everything I expected & more!”
Discovery Place, Inc. serves more than 650,000 annually through in-house exhibits and our outreach program ScienceReach. In addition to bringing unique exhibitions to our community such as Circus!, A Day in Pompeii or Body Worlds, we deliver engaging science education to inner city neighborhoods and underserved rural communities through classroom and assembly programs.
